New Mexico State Library provides access to the New York Times newspaper, and Newsbank provides access to New Mexico newspapers.

New Mexicans have free access to the New York Times, including news, cooking, games, and more through the New Mexico State Library.

When you click on the link on the state library page, you will be redirected to NY Times and provided a coupon code. To access the newspaper, redeem the code and if you do not have a NY Times account to login, you will need to create one.

Once you have logged in the first time, the NY Times may remember your account information and tell you that you have already redeemed the code. If this happens, simply go directly to the NY Times login page and enter your NY Times account information. After your “session” has ended, you may be required to redeem a new coupon code to get free access. Simply follow the previous steps to redeem a new code.

Newsbank provides access to all New Mexico newspapers.

You will be asked for a library card number which was sent to you via email. Enter that number to login. Please contact the Glenwood Library if you need your number again.

When accessing these newspapers at the library, you will not need your library card number. At home, the newspaper site may retain your card number for the current “session” and you may not need to login again with your card number. However, once your “session” has ended, you will need to re-enter your card number to gain free access to these newspapers.

New Mexico State Library provides 24/7 access to magazines, books, online classes, and more.
